Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Your privacy matters, especially when you are looking for information about sensitive topics. This policy explains what information FaithHavens (“FaithHavens,” “we,” or “us”) collects through faithhavens.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Summary
- You can read every page of this website without giving us any personal information.
- We do not use advertising pixels, session-recording tools, or third-party analytics.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
- Our contact form asks only for what we need to respond, and asks you not to share health information.
Information we collect
Information you choose to provide
If you submit our general inquiry form, we collect your first and last name, email address, telephone number (if provided), preferred contact method, the general reason for your inquiry selected from a list, your preferred language, and your consent choices. We also record the date and time of your submission and the version of the consent language you agreed to.
Please do not include confidential medical information, diagnoses, medication details, or other sensitive health information in the form or in emails to us. Our form does not include a free-text message field for this reason.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the website — such as IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the date and time of the request — in server logs. We use this information only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the website.
Cookies
We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics. If spam protection is active on our contact form, our provider (Cloudflare Turnstile) may process limited browser and device signals solely to tell people apart from automated programs.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry using the contact method you chose.
- If you opt in, to send occasional updates and educational resources by email.
- To operate, maintain, and secure the website, including preventing spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect the rights and safety of others.
Website analytics
We do not currently use website analytics. If we decide to use a privacy-respecting analytics tool in the future, we will update this policy before doing so, and we will not use tools that share information about the pages you visit with advertisers.
Contact requests
Inquiries submitted through our website are delivered over an encrypted connection directly to a secure, access-controlled system used by FaithHavens. Any email alerts our staff receive about new inquiries contain only a reference number — not your name, contact details, or the reason for your inquiry. Only people who need the information to respond to you can access it.
Submitting an inquiry does not create a counseling, clinical, or other professional relationship, and our form is not monitored for emergencies. If you need immediate help, call 911 or call or text 988.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Then we delete or de-identify it.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us operate the website and respond to inquiries (for example, our web host, inquiry management system, and email delivery provider), under obligations to protect it and use it only for our purposes;
- With your consent or at your direction;
- When required by law, or to protect someone’s safety; and
- In connection with a reorganization or transfer of our organization, subject to this policy.
Third-party services and links
Our website links to independent organizations, such as government agencies and national helplines. Their privacy practices are their own; please review their policies when you visit them. Fonts are served from our own website, so viewing a page does not send your information to a font provider.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), restrict access to inquiry information, collect as little as possible, and keep secrets out of the public website code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Health information
This website is not intended to collect health information. If FaithHavens provides services that are subject to federal health privacy laws — such as HIPAA or the federal confidentiality rules for substance use disorder records (42 CFR Part 2) — information collected in those services will be handled through separate, secure processes and described in a separate notice provided to you at that time. That notice, not this policy, will govern that information.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information; to obtain a copy of it; and to opt out of certain uses, including any sale or targeted advertising (which we do not engage in). You may also withdraw consent to receive email updates at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
To make a request, contact us through our Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome of your appeal in writing.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new date, and we will not use previously collected information in materially different ways without notice and, where required, your consent.
