Everyone deserves access to information about mental health and recovery. FaithHavens is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Our standard
We design and build this website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
What we’ve done
- Semantic page structure with consistent headings, landmarks, and a “Skip to main content” link.
- Full keyboard operation, including menus, accordions, and forms, with clearly visible focus indicators.
- Text and interface colors checked to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images.
- Form fields with visible labels, clear instructions, and error messages announced to screen readers.
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting on your device.
- Layouts that adapt to small screens and to text enlarged up to 200%.
- Brochures produced as tagged PDFs, with the same content available as web pages.
Known limitations
Some linked third-party websites are outside our control and may not meet the same standards. If you encounter a barrier on our website, we want to know about it.
